Starting in November 2025, the BALZ counselling team will visit us regularly as part of their winter tour. BALZ means: Counselling and Meeting Centre for Unemployed People and Employees.
Every two weeks, on Thursday, they offer an open counselling session. You do not need an appointment.
You can get help with:
– housing benefits (Wohngeld)
– citizen’s income (Bürgergeld)
– unemployment benefits
and other social benefits.
The counselling is available in German, English, French and Italian.
The BALZ team helps you to:
– understand which benefits you can receive,
– fill out applications,
– check letters or decisions from the authorities,
and plan the next steps if something is unclear.
The goal is to find good solutions together and to support you in improving your situation.
The counselling is free, confidential, and open to everyone.
The counselling takes place every second Thursday in Room 503.
